Precautions
1. SCENTED CANDLES:
Candles provide a warm and soothing ambiance, but they are still a flame. Here are some safety rules:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended .
- Turn it off if you leave the room or before going to sleep.
- Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, curtains or flammable objects.
- Trim the wick to about 0.5 cm before each lighting to avoid excessively high flames or black smoke.
- Allow the entire surface to melt on first use to avoid hollows.
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets .
2. SCENTED MELTS:
Scented wax melts are a great alternative to traditional candles, especially when paired with a wax burner. To use them safely:
- Use a suitable burner with a quality tea light.
- Do not overload the burner. A small piece of wax melt is often enough.
- Never leave a heating fondant unattended .
- Wait for the wax to cool before moving the burner.
- Do not mix flavors until one melt is completely removed or solidified.
3. ESSENTIAL OILS:
Essential oils are natural concentrates with powerful properties. They require special precautions:
- Never apply pure essential oil to the skin without professional advice (some can burn or irritate).
- Strictly prohibited for children under 3 years old, pregnant or breastfeeding women , except on medical advice.
- Diffuse in short sessions (15-20 min max) in a well-ventilated room.
- Never ingest an essential oil without professional supervision.
- Store the bottles away from light and heat, and out of reach of children and animals .
