Directions for use

AS A SKIN MASK:
Make a homogeneous paste of clay powder + water, then apply as a mask to the face and/or body. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, taking care not to let the clay dry, then rinse.

AS A HAIR MASK:
Make a homogeneous paste of clay powder + water, then apply as a mask to the hair and scalp. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes, avoiding letting the clay dry, then rinse.

IN A CLAY BATH:
Pour the clay powder into your bath, mix to perfect a gentle skin treatment.

IN POULTICE:
Make a homogeneous paste of clay powder + water, then apply in a thickness of 1 to 2 cm using a wooden spoon preferably. Hold the poultice in place with a bandage and leave for 1 hour before rinse.

Properties
- Absorbent, cleansing, adsorbent: green clay is particularly adsorbent and absorbent. It can capture a good number of impurities, bacteria and other parasites at the skin level. Its properties allow for cleansing of the skin and absorption of excess sebum. Its properties come from its structure in separate sheets of interfoliar spaces. A power offered by Mother Nature!
- Exfoliating: the powdery appearance of the clay and its granulometry give it cleansing and exfoliating properties ideal for skin scrubs.
- Skin repair: green clay is known for its skin repair properties; it has recognized anti-wrinkle properties.
- Detoxifying, remineralizing: the richness of clays in minerals, particularly silicon, gives them a strong remineralizing power. Green clay is guaranteed to be 100% natural and rich in minerals and trace elements. Its purity is optimal, without quartz.
- For oily skin: Green clay is known for its cleansing and drying properties. It is most suitable for oily skin thanks to its absorbent properties that will regulate excess sebum.

Precautions
- Do not ingest.
- Keep out of reach of children and animals.
- Avoid letting clay dry out. Rinse with clear, cold or lukewarm water.
- On the hairiest parts of the body, for maximum comfort, place a compress between the clay poultice and the skin.
- Clay should not be reused, be sure to throw away any clay that has already been used.
- When handling, be careful of air currents, the clay is powdery. It should not be inhaled. In case of excessive inhalation, it is important to get some fresh air. In case of contact with eyes or mucous membranes, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Be careful, when handling clays, do not use metal utensils, they would lose a large part of their effectiveness. Favor a spoon and a bamboo bowl for example.
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women and young children should seek medical advice before use.
- Store preferably in a dry place, away from light and heat.
Composition
- Green clay is called "illite"; these are the majority minerals in its composition after kaolin and montmorillonite.
- The structure of illite ensures an absorbent power, but also an adsorbent one due to its cation exchange capacity (CEC) of around 20-25 meq/100 g, i.e. the total quantity of ions that can be exchanged for 100 g of clay. This translates into the ability of this clay to capture and fix positively charged substances, such as toxins or bacteria, in exchange for the mineral salts it contains.
- The grain size of the clay is determined after extraction according to the desired uses. Illite green clay is superfine , that is to say that its grain size is less than 100 µm at 100%, of which 90% is less than 77 µm . In order, ultra-ventilated clay is the finest, followed by superfine (or ventilated), fine and then crushed. Ultra-ventilated clay is favored for sensitive and fragile skin, while superfine clay is used for all other skin types.
